Mark will provide an overview of the federal System for Award Management database (SAM.gov). He’ll start with how to register for SAM.gov and quickly demonstrate the search function. Then he will show you how to look at each of the 13 sections of a typical government request for proposal (RFP), highlighting the three sections to review first. He will finish by discussing what to do and what not to do when responding to a government RFP.
Before becoming a SCORE volunteer, Mark Wigginton spent over twenty years helping businesses navigate the government RFP process. As a proposal consultant and business development process trainer, he helped companies of all sizes win billions of dollars in government contracts. He is recognized by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals as a Certified Bid, Proposal, and Business Capture Practitioner.
